Sikhs created a history while setting a world record on Turban Day

NewYork (April 10th)  As part of the annual Turban Day celebration, this year, the Sikh organization created a world record by tying thousands of turbans within few hours.

An organization named ‘Sikhs of New York’, celebrate this day in mid-April with an aim of raising awareness regarding Sikh identity, culture and faith. Sikh turban has often been misconceived as being associated with terrorism and made Sikhs to suffer from hate crimes. Hundred of volunteers participated in this day-long event at Times Square and achieved the Guinness World Record for the “most turbans tied in 8 hours”.
