Connecticut Must have Minority Representation at State Level – Sikh Community Requested Governor Elect Ned Lamont

Connecticut Democratic Progress Celebration took place at Connecticut Conventional Center in which Members from various Democratic Town Committees were invited to celebrate winning of Democratic Candidates for State elections.

Various elected officials including Governor Dan Malloy,Lt Governor Nancy Wyman were present along with Governor Elect Ned Lamont,Lt Governor Elect Susan Bysiewicz ,State Comptroller Kevin Lembo,State Treasurer Shawn Wooden and New Elected Attorney General William Tong.

Swaranjit Singh Khalsa Representative Of Sikh Community and Member Of Norwich Democratic Town Committee was also present along with other members of DTC.

Khalsa talked to various political leaders and stressed on the fact that State Of Connecticut needs a department which can find ways to embrace Connecticut diversity.

He gave example of city of norwich embracing cities diversity thru Multilingual peace poles,Welcome signs and programs they have in Otis Library.

Swaranjit khalsa also talked about inclusivity and Minority representation at State level Commission and other positions.

Khalsa also presented Welcome Sign in various languages to Governor Elect Ned Lamont which he said can be easily implemented at various state buildings,State entrances and even Airport.
