The Sikh Community of Connecticut invites you to join them on the 35th Commemoration of “1984 Sikh Genocide” in Norwich,Connecticut.
This is the 6th year that the Sikh Community of Connecticut is doing this event and last year commemoration was hosted at Connecticut State Capitol.
Also Recently as you know that due to Indian Government Interference Norwich Otis Library had to remove Sikh Genocide Memorial so this event will Provide good opportunity to various faith based communities and Human rights organizations to show Solidarity with Sikh Community.
According to Event organizer this event is golden opportunity to learn about Sikh history and Education Is the goal behind this event.
Organizer believe that this event will give opportunity to people to share their real life experiences during that phase of time.
Swaranjit Singh Khalsa Sikh Representative said “It’s important to recognize these kind of sad but important Chapters of history otherwise they are doomed to get repeated.
Also I feel that By Recognizing what happened In reality will provide Closure to Sikh Community as Sikh Narrative has always been suppressed by India. ”
